STM32 MCUs Software development tools

When I create a new project and put in "-u _printf_float"  as linker option and select "Use float with printf from newlib-nano (-u _printf_float) then sprintf does not convert float values.but when I import a TrueStudio project where sprintf works with floats, then it works also in CubeIDE. I have two gpios enabled one as an output another as a interrupt input. PA11 and PI11 respectively. There are two pin defines generated by CUBEMX, for argument call them MYPINA_Pin and MYPINB_Pin respectively. For the interrupt handler CUBE generates code like this...void EXTI15_10_IRQHandler(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN EXTI15_10_IRQn 0 */ /* USER CODE END EXTI15_10_IRQn 0 */ HAL_GPIO_EXTI_IRQHandler(MYPINA_Pin); }While this results in correct machine code because MYPINA_Pin == MYPINB_Pin, it is quite alarming and reduces my confidence in CUBEMX. Not to mention confusing. If I want to track down some code and I search for MYPINB_Pin I will not find the interrupt handler.Has anyone else seen this and/or reported it to ST?

I created a project for an STM32H753 MCU and have added FreeRTOS via CubeMX called from CubeIDE. If the name (filename) of module has more than one dot ( "." ) the STM32CubeProgrammer can list it in the external loder (EL) selection, but when STM32CubeProgrammer tries to use the module it fails (it generates an error).For example this EL name generates the error: EN25Q40_MT447R2_2.0.0.stldrthe same file renamed into EN25Q40_MT447R2.stldr (removing all dots) works.

The latest version of STM32CubeMx 6.6.1 organizes the parameters of the FDCAN differently from the previous version and shows useful information on Time Quantum, Time for one Bit and Baud Rate.But I think the displayed parameters are wrong, as shown in the attached image.In my case the micro used is STM32G473VBTx

In CubeMX 6.6.0 and also 6.6.1 there is a bug, in my opinion.Most likely this came with the latest Fix 34380 (Alternate functions in PA0, PA1, PC2 and PC3 are not available in PA0_C, PA1_C, PC2_C and PC3_C GPIOs)Selecting STM32H750XBH6 (TFBGA 240+25) in CubeMX then directly selecting alternate functions for PA0_C and PA0:Is selecting TIM2_CH1 for PA0_C, the alternate functions are not available anymore on PA0, which is correct. (The same thing if defining PA0 first)But if PA0 is defined as ADC-input the alternate functions are still available on PA0_C, which is not possible following the pin diagram

Hi,I use STM32F722 on a custom board for UART communication with an external sensor.​When using SYSCLK with the maximum clock of 216 MHz using HSI and PLL, UART data was lost 2~3 bytes when 250 bytes were transmitted at once during UART communication with an external sensor.It was the same even if I changed the UART CLK.​​However, when SYSCLK was set to 140 MHz or lower, data was not lost regardless of UART CLK.​I tried the same using the NUCLEO-F722ZE board to use the proven hardware.​When tested by adding UART in the CubeMX default setting (HSE, SYSCLK 216) of the NUCLEO-F722ZE board, No data was lost.And when HSI was set to divide PLL, CLK error was displayed.

The FreeRTOS debugging tools (as present in Atollic, NXP MCUxpresso, etc) seem to be missing in STM32CubeIDE. These include task view with stack use, semaphore/mutex view, queue view. Hello,I'm working on a project build on STM32F407VG. I'm using Atollic Studio 9.3.0 and CubeMX 6.2.1. I've build a project on CubeMX a while ago, since then I didn't generate anything because I added a lot of things by myself, like USB composite MSC+CDC. At the beginning I want to clarify that I'm sure that my code is working, and I think that there is a problem with linker or Atollic but I'm not sure how to find it.So I'm using a lot of libraries, here are my directories:I'm working normally on my project, then suddenly I make one little change, completly not relevant to using fatfs or anything (something like, set high state on pin which has a diode), and I get errors:

I just went to recompile my project after a couple of days of no changes - I got this dialog...I hit migrate and the process completed with no error messages that I could see.However when I tried to re-compile I got a lot of errors and looking in my src folder, most of my files had gone. Fortunately my project is in git and I committed first so I was able to restore them.The first error I found was that STM32Cube had removed 'ffconf.h', 'user_io.h' and 'app_fatfs.h 'from the FATFS folders in the project (in addition to lots of my C source files in the src folder).I haven't had this problem before. Hello All,I am in the process of designing a circuit with four microcontrollers in Daisy chain. I would like to program and debug them via one JTAG port, hence will be daisy chaining them. Which one of the programmers can do this?. I have used ST-Link-V2, but this cannot programm multiple chips in a daisy chain.

I am working on a code that needs multiple projects to be linked to the main project. Every time I copy the project to a new system, the projects become unlinked and the linking is required. Is it possible to add a relative path so that the projects will be automatically linked when I load them to a new system? For example:Project1Project2Project3Project_main Here, the Project_main is linked to the Project1, Project2 and Project3.

I built a project for the NUCLLEO-G431RB using STM32CubeIDE v 1.9.0. Somewhere along the line, it offered to upgrade to 1.10.0 which I accepted, and it also warned that my ws was tied to an older version, for which I opted to upgrade the ws. (Either of those might have been a mistake!)But now my build fails with SystemInit, SystemCoreClock and AHBPrescTable showing as undefined. I'm not sure where along the line it happened, but how do I get them back into the project?

When I repeat the above procedure on my offline desktop, I do not get the option to install 1.27.1, as 1.27.0 is the newest option that appears. I routinely install patches offline, but this is the first time I have encountered this issue. Any ideas?

Using STM32F765VG6TR, every time I power on the MCU, the two DACs are supposed to be set to constant output voltages of 2.4V and 0.8V. This happens inconsistently - sometimes it works, about 50/50 success rate. A few notes:If it isn't working, an MCU reset does not fix it.There seems to be a correlation between how long I wait after power-down and power up and the DACs enabling properly. Waiting not too long and not too short seems to be the sweet spot (about 1.5s)This would lead me to believe it's a power sequencing issue with VDDA/VDD, but can't seem to correlate a specific start-up waveform with bad DAC behaviorHave reproduced the issue on two separate processors with different PCBAsEither both DAC channels work, or both do not work. Hi,I've set up timer in PWM mode with circular DMA in CubeIDE.I would like to change buffer with halfcplt and cplt callbacks but i have no idea how to do that. I can't find any example on internet neither in documentation.Should i somehow register those callbacks or maybe there are some weak void functions that i can't find? I am using STM32L451RCTx in STM32CubeIDE. I need to response through usart2 for the received request on the same usart2. I am receiving the request one time and can able respond for that. After the transmission of the response, I am not able to receive the request. I tried to communicate using I2C, but I failed...So, I would like to get help from those who are good at I2C communication.The board uses NUCLEO-L073RZ, and the device to communicate with is "SHT20 (Humidity_Sensors)" of Sensirion company.I tried to communicate using I2C function in STM CUBE MX, but the sensor seems to communicate with 13bit... MX only supports 10bit....Please help....

I am trying to do step by step debugging of my FreeRTOS application in STM32CUBEIDE, and I have a problem because every time I try to make a step in debug mode the state of the execution pointer in GUI goes into the TIM8_TRG_COM_TIM14_IRQHandler. For FreeRTOS I am using TIM14 as a Systick (initialized in CubeMX). How can I solve this debugging issue so that I can step by step debug my running thread?Just to provide more information, I have two tasks running both with Normal priority and I can confirm by watching Live expressions and two counters, that both tasks are running in Round Robin type of scheduling. However I would like to step by step debug my application and i am not able because whenever I click next step the poitner goes into the TIM8_TRG_COM_TIM14_IRQHandler.
