Why NUCLEO-64 STM32F411RE EVAL BRD not in the target list, only STM32F411E-DISCO ?I have STM32CubeIDE_1.19.0 and updated STM32CubeMX 6.12.0. and have restarted PC.

Hello,I am working on a project that requires the code to be stored in the external QSPI flash but the problem is, I have no idea how the external memory loader generated by CubeMX works. I have tried following this article, but the external loader link is broken. Can someone please answer the questions below?How do you program the external memory with the application project?How can I configure the external memory manager to work with quadspi flash? I am guessing I need to write my own drivers for the external flash but where do I put this? Regards

Hi, Project can't be built - CubeIDE Window → Preferences → C/C++ → Build → Environment list is empty.   My CubeIDE 1.18.0 was working fine for many weeks with Nucleo-H753ZI board and CubeMX.   Two days ago, it stopped working after I upgraded it to version 1.19.0. The screen stayed in IDE home window.  Then   1, I deleted directories below      C:\ST\STM32CubeIDE_1.19.0       C:\Users\User\STM32CubeIDE       C:\Users\User\.eclipse        C:\STM32\Workspace   2, I Installed STM32CubeIDE 1.18.0 as administrator.   However, the project can't be built.

In an IDE makefile project I use a linker script which is created in the pre-build step. In v1.12 of the IDE it worked fine. Now I have to use 1.16.1 and now make complains at the linker step that it has no rule to create the linker script. Well, make is correct that there is a dependency on this file, but it should just accept the file which is already there. The actual build rule is in the pre-build step, which make does not "see". How can i configure the project so that make "knows" that he linker script is here and up to date?

Split from stm32 targeted project type is empty and its not generating .ioc file as it's not the same issue Im facing the same issue and couldnt open the IOC files, is there any other options to make it run 

Hello,I’ve configured SPI in CubeMX with DataSize = 12 bits. However, when I use the HAL function HAL_SPI_Transmit, the pData argument seems to require a uint16_t (or at least 16-bit aligned) buffer.I'm a bit confused about how this works in practice. Since I'm sending a 16-bit word, but only configured 12-bit frames, does the SPI peripheral transmit just the lower 12 bits of each word? Or do I need to pack the 12-bit values differently?I'm still fairly new to STM32 development, so I appreciate any clarification you can offer!Best regards,Kewin

Hi everyone,I'm working on programming the B-U585I-IOT02A board for my Master's thesis in Computer Engineering. My goal is to continuously record audio samples using the onboard microphone, then convert them into spectrograms and analyze them using AI. Unfortunately, I'm having trouble setting up the microphone. I can't find any reference projects online for audio recording on this board, and I'm currently stuck. My original plan was to use DMA with its callbacks (HalfTransfer, TransferComplete), but I'm not sure how to properly configure the microphone or which peripheral I should use to capture the audio: MDF1, ADF1, or SAI1? How do I then link DMA to one of these peripherals to trigger the appropriate callbacks? Which pins should I enable in the .ioc file, and in which mode, to make everything work correctly? Any suggestions or references to similar projects would be greatly appreciated.&nbs

Hello,I need guidance to create a very simple AI project using CubeIDE (CubeMX) and Neural-ART runtime. I can use all the example projects successfully but failed to create one from scratch till now. I faced no challenge earlier when using H7 for my AI projects.I am using STM32N6570-DK. I tried using different ways, but I either got strange compilation/linking errors or got stuck in the neverending "Generating code" screen.Anyway, my latest attempt is as follows:Create a new FSBL project by selecting my DKChose not to initialize default peripheralsSelected X-CUBE-AI 10.0 core and template application from the Middleware sectionSelected a MobileNetV2-based tflite model and Neural-ART runtime.Analyzed using "n6-allmems-O3" and generated code. I am fairly new to programming. So I have STM32CUBEide at work and at home. If find it extrodnarilly difficult to work on something at the office and then take it home or in reverse. I have tried exporting, importing, importing from the file system and just copying files directly. Each time only after several hours I stumble upon getting the project working and I have to do it all over aging when I go back to the office.  And really irritating is that it looks like its going to work, when your importing an archive and just as you go to select the location. The darn window is gray out.  And when the IDE finally does work it is not obvious why. Despirite for help!!!

I have internet access at my office only through a virtual machine.I'm facing an issue with updating Cube-IDE. Currently, I'm using version 1.11.0 and I want to manually update it to version 1.13.1.I've downloaded the executable file for version 1.13.1 from the website, but my previous code doesn't seem to open in this updated version.Could you please guide me on how to connect my existing workspace (workspace_1.11.0) with the new version? Alternatively, if there's an alternative method for manually updating CubeIDE, I'd appreciate the advice.  

I have developed software in STM32CubeIDE using the NUCLEO-L433RC-P dev board.This board uses the STM32L433RCT6P (which has an external SMPS for VDD12 pins) but the PCB I am designing uses the STM32L433RCT6 (without external SMPS).When my PCB arrives, I will need to retarget the MCU in STM32CubeIDE from the STM32L433RCT6P to the STM32L433RCT6, but I cannot see how to do this.I tried to create a new project (including the .ioc file) using STM32CubeMX and copy files accross, but got into a mess and could not get it to work.Ideally I would like to be able to easily switch between both MCUs, so that I can continue to develop the software on the NUCLEO-L433RC-P until my PCB arrives.How do I retarget my software to the STM32L433RCT6 ?

Hi everyone,I am using an STM32H750 microcontroller and programming it through CubeIDE.After updating STM32CubeIDE to the latest version (1.18.0), ADC3 stopped working. I make a new project on STM32CubeIDE(Vewsion 1.18.1), following these steps below. 1.Start STM32CubeIDE(Vewsion 1.18.1), and click [Start new STM32 Project] button on STM32CubeIDE Home. 2.Input "STM32H747I-DISCO" in Commercial Part Number Box on Boad Selector tab. 3.Click Boads list 1 item displayed on right side, and click [Next] button. 4.Input "TestPrj" in Project Name Box in STM32 Project daialog, and click finish button. After a while, TestPrj.ioc is opened, then click Project -> Generate code.  C/C++ perspective is opened. We've got a STM32H747IGT6 which is the two-core version (one M4, one M7).  I've got GDB servers running on ports 61238 (CM4) and 61234 (CM7) and then running two instances of GDB (one for each server).  GDB says it's happily connected, and I can load code and inspect memory on both cores but when I set a breakpoint on the M4, gdb says "Note: automatically using hardware breakpoints for read-only addresses." and the breakpoint never fires.  On the M7, gdb doesn't give that same warning and breakpoints actually work.Is this a known limitation of the M4, or is it something I've got set up wrong?

Hi,I am trying to export (and then import) a project on STMIDE from one computer to another but it's been not so straight forward. Hoping somebody can point me to the right direction or a step by step on how this is properly done. For context, when I export the project and try to import into another computer - the project is missing nearly all of the files except for a few..?  Thanks

I was using STM Cube IDE version 1.17.0, and I am not getting the option to choose the Stm32Cube in Target Project type by default it is selecting the option of empty. I have been using the same version for few months and I have never faced this issue.. Could you find a solution for this.

HiLast week I installed the latest version of stm32CubeIDE on my Fedora 42 system using the generic linux installer from the ST web site. The installation went smoothly and I was able to run the program and even generate a simple project.When I went back 2 days later to continue, each time i ran CubeIDE the system starts and displays the standard "workspace" window. Upon hitting enter a small empty windows comes up and the system hangs there. The app does not appear to close since if I try to start again I get the message that the app is already running.Any ideas please?
