STM32CubeIDE (MCUs)

In OSX when i click "Start new STM32 project" the IDE is stuck on displaying Checking for updated files. Nothing happens except the bar moves back and forth.In Windows on the same computer (through parallels desktop) everything works and the IDE downloads new files and continues. Any ideas on this?

I created a simple program for STM32f407 discovery that has FreeRTOS (10.0.1) and LWIP (2.0.3) in STM32CubeIDE 1.1.0. It uses a task to start LWIP and dhcp and kills the task. It has a software timer that blinks an LED and printf a counter. I implemented _write to redirect to TIM. That's it. In debug I have SWV. data trace timeline and fault analyzer. I kept the host PC run all the time without going to sleep. The board worked for hours (>6) and the LED doesn't blink any more. Pinging from host PC has no response. No fault was captured.When I tried to restart debugging, hit the run nothing happened. I had to cycle the board power.Before this I tried many times using FreeRTOS with LWIP, the board always dies in a couple of hours.Any thoughts on the combination of FreeRTOS and LWIP and how to improve debugging?Thanks.

Some setting in the .ioc file causes it to put many links into the project for files that are already in the source tree. This results in hundreds for duplicate symbols. They are in several directories How can I stop it from doing that?

Hi all...I'm Matteo from Italy.I am working with STM32F072 MCU.Developed my software with STM32F072-EVAL demo board and it works fine (using the on-board STLINK)Now i am try to debug the same program on my PCB (developed with the same pinout of demoboard) and i getting throubles with debugger (STLINK-V3).When i press F8 to run the program, i get alwais the Break at address "0x1fffca82" with no debug information available" error.Just for test I clear the main function as simple as:HAL_GPIO_WritePin(EXP_OUT1_GPIO_Port, EXP_OUT1_Pin, GPIO_PIN_RESET); HAL_Delay(10); HAL_GPIO_WritePin(EXP_OUT1_GPIO_Port, EXP_OUT1_Pin, GPIO_PIN_SET);well, i found that the error occours in the " HAL_Delay(10); " call.If I remove the delay function i can debug the set and reset pin (working fine) with step debuf (F6), but when i press F8 i get the same error.I am using internal HSI48 clock sour

I switched from Atollic TrueSTUDIO to STM32CubeIDE on a trial basis to see how the program feels. We were able to import our project without any problems. Some settings had to be made, but then we were able to compile the project successfully. It is noticeable that with two identical projects (and in my opinion the same project settings) two .elf files of different sizes are created by TrueSTUDIO and STM32CubeIDE.Nevertheless we could flash the code and start the program. I reached the breakpoint in the main() as well. So far, everything seems fine. Unfortunately the program crashes when the scheduler is started after the whole hardware initialization.We are using FreeRTOS. The same program ran in TrueSTUDIO without any problems.For test purpose I tried to replace the .elf file of STM32CubeIDE with the one from TrueSTUDIO already and flash it as well. This leads to the same crash.What is the problem? Where can I look up? I guess it is a problem wit

Hi, I’ve a problem trying to setup breakpoints. At any code line where I try to setup a breakpoint, it does not matter which, neither if it’s the main.c or a library, it just keeps telling me “Breakpoint installation failed: unmatched quote�? as you can see in the attached image :\ Actually I’m using Nucleo-F429. I would appreciate if someone can have a clue about why is like that. Thanks, 

I've tried 10 or more times now to get around this problem.I'm choosing the STM32F413RGtx for the uC in STM32CubeIDE new STM32 project,I go to generate code from the embedded CubeMX screen and it always tries to download that stm32cube_fw_f4_v1240.zip file and fails with either a timeout or something about a MD5 checksum error. I've tried to manually install that file and it says it is installed but it always tries to download that file and fails. How do I get around this problem?

HelloI have a strange bug when I try to debug. The first time I can start (only start, not run!) the debugger. The second time I receive an error message when I start the debugger (only start, not run!) : "Failed to execute MI Command. Hello,I'm using a stm32f070f6 mcu.My problem is that, when I debug separately my bootloader and my APP code, everything works fine, but when I put them together in a hex file and upload it to my MCU(the bootloader remaps the IVT to the RAM before jumping and deinitialize all the used peripherals on it), everything works fine except the sleepmode.The sleepmode is usually woken up by the TMR16 UIE interrupt, which at the same is the interrupt used in the bootloader to count how many seconds I should stay there. CubeIDE 1.0.2 deb linux.IDE see STlink.v2​, I sucessfully upgraded it.When I click on build (checked debug or release) project builds without errors but it dont flash target.​​Only once it flashed my board (disco f407vg) when messing with debug configuration (checked - release), but really dont know how to replicate this.​​I will prowide more info (screenshoots) if needed.

I have a question about running CubeIDE.I used CubeIDE 1.0.2 and then upgraded to CubeIDE 1.1.0.The problem is that when I run CubeIDE 1.1.0 the cme.exe and WMIC.exe processors continue to be generated.If I exit CubeIDE 1.1.0, all cme.exe and WMIC.exe that were created will also be shut down.How can I solve this problem?The same problem occurs when I uninstall CubeIDE 1.0.2 and install CubeIDE 1.1.0.I am using win7 64-bit.
