STM32CubeIDE (MCUs)

I am trying to continuously sample a ADC channel. When I have the overrun data preserved, I can see a valid value in the ADC Data register (Using the STM32CubeIDE debugger). However, when I try overwriting the overrun data, The only value I see in the data register is 0xFFF.I also get the same issue when I enable the global ADC1/2 interrupt and start the ADC with HAL_ADC_Start_IT(), regardless of whether I have the overrun data preserved or overwritten.I am using STM32CubeIDE and STM32CubeMX, and a ST-LINK v2. If something is unclear or I haven't mentioned something, Let me know. Any help will be greatly appreciated.Edit:Just for additional information, The system clock is 104Mhz, the ADC’s clock prescaler is set to asynchronous divide by 2, resolution is 12 bit, sampling time is 640.5 cycles.

HI community,I am new to ST community, currently working on a STM32L475 discovery kit. I wanted to implement low power design with the MQTT exxample (using STM32CubeIDE).I have few clarifications 1.When the board is running a simple LED blink example, the current reading is around 12.9mA, is this normal to consume this much power just for LED blink example. ? Although With WIFI connected and sensor data transmitting (every second) the current consumption is 14mA and 15.3mA respectively.2.There many low power modes available on the mode, i was to put the device on sleep/standby mode for 1hour or any specific time, but in the meantime i should also be able to read the sensor readings. So that after a specific time i can do a bulk transfer. Which power reduction modes keep the peripherals active ? I couldn't find any examples online, any guidance is really helpful.

Hey there,I am using an STM32F767ZIT6 and I am not realy an advanced programmer. The IDE I am using is STM32CubeIDE v1.1.0 .When I create a new Project, I use the pinout configuration to initialize freeRTOS, ETH and lwIP. At System Core I changed the Timebase Source to a Timer. Also I change the clock configuration to 216 MHz, cause of ETH. In lwIP I disable DHCP and use a static IP. So far so good.All other configurations are on default. Now I connect my Nucleo 144 to my PC and try to Ping, but nothing happend, no communication. When debugging this project, I stuck in the lwIP init. Are there any other configurations I need to do, to Ping my Board?

Hi teamI am new to stm32 mcu and trying to debug with ITM here with CubeIDE. But it didn't seem to work for me.I didn't see anything from the SWV ITM data console output windows, it's properly something really silly I have done or not done. I am using CubeIDE v1.1, Nucleo-32 F303K8T6 board, so I think it's not the hardware problem.So I created a new project, enable SWV, set the core clock to 8MHz (which is the default value I get when I setup the new project), enable port 0 on the SWV ITM console windows, start trace. NOTE: I have built a test project in STM32CubeIDE to demonstrate this issue (see attached). (Change "POSITION" from 1 to 2 to demonstrate the bug - see line 164 in main.c).I am reading multiple ADC channels on a custom board with a STM32F030RCT6TR. I have 8 channels defined in my Cube project and am using DMA and the callback function to know when it's finished.At startup, I call HAL_ADC_Start_DMA() to get things going. Then, in my main loop I look for completion by examining a variable set by the callback function. If the readings are complete, I dump their values out a serial port and then start another conversion with HAL_ADC_Start_DMA().The weirdness is that if I run these reads as fast as possible, they work OK. However, if I only check them every 500 milliseconds, I see only one read - and the subsequent read never completes.Any thoughts?

Sometimes works very well. But some times I get this error. Do I need to add any extra .dll files or something.Or do I need to make any configuration changes. Please give some information.

Hello,in my project i have a folder for a html visualisation containing some .html, .jpeg, .js and .css files.I there an easy way to place/access them direclty into the flash without the need of a workaround? Just pressing Strg+B in STM32CubeIDE and the files are in the .hex file and accessable in .c files using some functions receiving a byte array pointer or similar?Thank you!

I now have "GNU Emacs" (?) , used some app to add "Magit" paxkage to the list and cannot process with installation because it is dependent on package xy which upon more clicking  it saiz - "it is build-in". So I am stuck and really not sure "GNU Emacs" will do the job anyway - to many packages to painfully install.

I use the STm32CubeIDE and want to use the CDC USB Port on a Nucleo-152RE Board. I have configured all things in the Cube and the code is generated. But when I plug in the USB in the pc, no com-port will appear. What do I wrong?Thanks for your help.

I'm new to STM32 so I am learning FreeRTOS using this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OPrcpbKNSjU&list=PLEBQazB0HUySNug4eRm-73hNyMcCRViRB&index=3 but with the STM32 F4 Discovery board, so the STM32CubeIDE (v1.1.0) has both FreeRTOS and USB_Host enabled in the Device Configuration Tool window. As suggested, I've changed SYS in System Core to use TIM6.It compiles and runs in debug mode but then halts in the HardFault_Hander() when xPortStartScheduler() is run due to osKernelStart() call. I get the same problem if the USB_HOST is configured as either Virtual Com Port or HID, but the FreeRTOS runs fine if I set Class for FS IP as Disable i.e. disabled USB.I've read htt

Hi there,I'm using STM32Cube Ide to work wih my STM32F7.I really like this software also for the integration of STM32CubeMX.I use the STM32CubeIde to configure the hardware, peripheral, OS and so on but when I build the configuration I noticed that also the Include Path are restore.So every time I change a perpheral setting and I rebuild the the project, the project lost the setting and I need to add manually every source folder that I added.Is there a way to avoid this?Thanks for the help.BR, Federico

The BlueNRG-1/2 SDK provides sample projects in TrueStudio form. When I attempt to import any of them into STM32 CubeIDE, I am presented with a dialog asking for the proper MCU for the evaluation board. If there is a way to determine the correct answer to this question, I'm too dense to figure it out and ST doesn't seem inclined to tell you in any of the copious but, for these purposes useless, documentation. Hi,I'm using STM32CubeIDE with a former Atollic TrueStudio project. The import itself succeeded, but it's neccessary to fine tune the settings. Also, when using the STM32CubeMX files, it seems that STM32CubeIDE uses different file names for several source files, resulting in redefinition of several functions (e.g. _sbrk, etc.).My current problem is that with the former STM32CubeMX file, changing heap/stack size is not reflected in the linker script file. I'm on a STM32L011F4P6 device. I verified it with a new project, there's the same problem. So it can't be related to the old STM32CubeMX file.Regards

Hi, we recently had some "updates" on our corporate firewall and its preventing me from using some features from within STM32CubeIDE. Are there any details available as to what websites/ports are required for STM32CubeIDE so that I can communicate them to our IT department and get them unblocked?

In windows7, my project (iar) can send string to serial ports with printf, but in ubuntu 18.04 (stm32cubeide), HAL_UART_Transmit can send char, but it seems that printf do nothing. Thanks for your help.

I am using HC-05 bluetooth module and STM32F407. I am trying to change the name of the bluetooth module. I can enter AT Command Mode, but i can't send any AT Commands to module. I tried something in main. STM32CubeIDE parser or indexer not working properly. Tested CubeIDE versions are 1.0.1 and 1.1.0. Some Stm32 HAL library header files doesn't recognised as C header file and contents not accessible by IDE tools. I noticed some major issues when this happens:Open Declaration command not workingOn debug Live Expressions can't access peripherals defined in device header fileCode completion can't find header file definitionsOn the screenshot you can see two of the header files seems like they are not C header file. No coloring and indexing working on files numbered 1 and 2 but file numbered 3 is recognized as regular file. Effected files are not static, they are changing on every time you open IDE.

I am playing around with the STM32 IoT node discovery kit, came across this strange behavior while using USART. When only LED_2 and UART are enabled on CubeMX (using SMT32CubeIDE btw) and simple blink(toggle) and a USART message is sent and it doesn't show up on terminal (TeraTerm) although the toggle works fine according to delay set. However on the debugger i can see UART_Transmit function working fine and returns HAL_OK. I am not sure why the message doesn't show up on terminal. But when i enable all default pin and configurations the message does seem to appear on terminal.Any idea/help is much appreciated. Attached the sample code below.

Hello everyone. I'm rather new to STMCubeIDE. I used a little STM Workbench in the past but never had the opportunity to work on a full project.Now, after I started a new project and worked on it, debugged it and so, I have the need to compile and upload it on my MCU without starting the debugger. It seems absurd, but I couldn't find anything on the Internet about this. Isn't there any option to do this directly from the Cube IDE?The debug mode works greatly. The code is uploaded and the debug starts and works perfectly. But Is there any way to actually NOT start the debugger after the upload?

This is more of an observation and annoyance. Whenever I run the debugger, STM32CubeIDE (1.1.0) opens up files that I have no interest in editing. I find that I am constantly closing files in the editor while debugging my code. The files opened up are files such as stm32f7xx_it.c, port.c, OSWrappers.cpp as well as others.This is not a bug but very annoying and maybe it can be looked into for the next release.

How to configure the IAR toolchain into STM32CubeIde?, i have installed the plugin and configured the path to the installation directory of IAR and now how to configure to build a project with the IAR compiler. I don´t find where to configure it.Thanks.
