STM32CubeIDE (MCUs)

I am trying to get UART working on a project for debugging purposes but I can't get my project to compile correctly. I have uncommented "HAL_UART_MODULE_ENABLED" in stm32f4xx_hal_conf.h but it seems to have no affect on my build at all. My Paths and Symbols settings and build output are below:

Has anyone had success generating working USB middleware in STMCube32IDE? To date, I've tried generating a VCP or an Audio Class device for the STM32H747-DISCO, Nucleo L452RE-P and Nucleo-L4R5ZI-P. Consistently, all fail after about 30 seconds, with a Windows message of failed enumeration due to a bad Device Descriptor.I'm using Version: 1.1.0, Build: 4551_20191014-1140 (UTC).I've also tried generating code using the external CubeMX tool (both on Windows and Mac) and running the code in the IDE. I have a uart setup that performs large transfers. I have seen that it blocks receive for most of the time this transmit happens. The IRQ is shared for both transmit and receive (by chip architecture). So how do I deal with this ?Is the usart really full duplex ?How does NVIC nesting play into this?

But when i am sending less than 10 bits the slave is receiving accurate data.  Can anyone suggest me what might be wrong??

In version 1.1.0 the team group options is not ability of SVN. How can they be implemented?

I used the cube ide to generate code for the timer 15 channel 1N routed to PA1. prescaler 0pulse 5000I only see a flat line on my scope. I have STM32F303CCTX custom board.IO Pin PB8 has a timer that triggers a gpio high for 200us and resets for 300us. creates a 1.8KHz wave with about 35% duty using plain timer mode. Timer IRQ handler also fires the adc conversion on pin PB0.It continuously keeps running with no values for over a minute. Hey,I'm currently trying to import following Project: https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeF7/tree/master/Projects/STM32746G-Discovery/Applications/LwIP/LwIP_HTTP_Server_Netconn_RTOS into my STM32CubeIDE, although I seem to have some troubles.The Includes seem to fit but if Im trying to build, it says "nothing to build". What steps do I have to take in order to build and run these sample projects? Thanks in advance

This error is coming everytime when creating project

It's so sad that STM32CubeIDE can't support 32bit Windows now. Can we expect that in the future ??? Or we have to change our OS ??

I am a hardware guy, so please bear with me. I want to build the project for the STEVAL-ESC001 in CubeIDE (I don't have IAR). Can anyone help me understand what are the files I need or how to figure out which files I need to include in the project so I can build and debug it?I use Motor Workbench 5.4 to generate the project to the ST STM32CubeIDE. When the generated project file is opened in STM32CubeIDE, the option to build the project is unavailable (it is grayed out). If I instead I generate the project with ST TrueStudio as the target tool chain, when I open it in STM32CubeIDE, the project is converted to a STM32Cube IDE project, and now the build option becomes available, but the project fails to build. Any ideas on how to configure the project so I can build it in STM32Cube IDE? Thank you.

Hello,I would like to use a global variable in a while loop in my main file. That variable will be set to zero in a interrupt. Unfortunatly the interrupts are created by the device configuration tool in a seperate file. In the device configuration tool there is a window in UART called User Constants. I have declared the variable there but I don't know what this does. It didn't create a variable in the UART init or UART interrupt function. I hope you can clearify this for me.Erwin

Hi,There is no stm32cubeIDE section so I post it here.I found another bug that isn't mentioned on the known issues and I found no bug tracker to post this issueWhen you re-generate code using the integrated cubemx, all included folders (in properties > paths and symbols > includes) as well as the sources locations get deleted and therefore, the project doesn't compile anymore.Regards,Bertrand

Hi,STM32 cube IDE version 1.02 does not works with the STM32G474 MCU with the segger j-link debugger.When i replace the "***\STM32CubeIDE\plugins\com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.jlink.win32_1.0.0.201904160814\tools\bin" files with the newer segger 6.53a files, the debugger fails with the message "Out of memory......."Is there a solution that we can uses the Segger version 6.53a tooling in the IDE?When would the next STM32 Cube IDE released where we can use the STM32G474 MCU?regards

I am trying to find a few KB of permanent storage on the STM32F303 part.The TRM mentions the flash map and the HAL seems to have some API's. However, I am unable to find any decent material on storing user data on flash.Is there any good example of this? Also, Is there a HAL API to get the UID of the part??

Usint STM32Cube IDE 1.0.2 with STM32F0, we need to set the project setting to C++ every time we regenerate the core code.It is a bit annoying.

I have just reinstalled CubeIDE on a new PC and trying to work on some already created project with CubeIDE.The target is an STM32F7.I opened the Cube .ioc file from inside CubeIDE explorer, then modify some settings.When I try to save, I get a message saying that stm32cube is being updated.Then imediately after a message saying "Error downloading the following files: stm32cube_fw_f7_v1150.zip (Not available).Then all the files in my project get permanently deleted leaving only the .project and the .ioc file!And when I say permanently, I do mean it is not in the bin!!!This is the second time it happened to me in a week.And the second time I loose one day worth of work.

Previously, CubeMX would reveal resource conflicts by hovering the mouse over the indicated area, e.g., GPIO pin configured as alternate function.Both version 1.0.2 and 1.1.0 do not indicate the nature of the conflict via mouse hover.To reproduce: Create new STM32 project based on STM32F746G-DISCO board, initialize all peripherals with default state, then try to configure DAC outputs. Both DAC outputs are highlighted in red, but no conflict information is revealed.

I am currently working with UART in DMA mode for CLI implimentation. I would like to do some string parsing as part of the HAL_UART_RxCpltCallback.Is this callback running in IRQ context or outside of IRQ context ? Is this the correct place for post processing IRQ data ? What would you recommend ?
