STM32CubeIDE (MCUs)

i would like to program with c++,but failed in compiling.

I intend to start a new project using the ST32F410, possibly first in a Nucleo package.I have downloaded the STM32CubeF4 package as well as the stm32cubeide package.What is the relationship between these two development packages offered by ST? Do I need them both, do they compliment each other, merge one into the other or are they seperate entities?Where can I find example code for the ST32F410 in either of these packages?

i am working on the project to decoding the WAVE file by VS1003. the file is 44100/16 bit stereo , the MCU is stm32f103, both are SPI interface to the MCU, SPI1 to TF card, SPI2 to VS1003. it is based on the FAFfs, the SPI2 is working on interrupt mode . the issue is most of the resource is occupied by the interrupt , no time to read the file in the TF card, how to solve this ? the projcet is built on STM32CUBEIDE.

I am working with STM32CubeIDE and there is no flowing documentation; other than a video I followed with a super large LCD so I can read it. The UM1766 does not have any mention of STM32CubeIDE. As a result I am working with SW4STM32, at least I can work with UM1766 and this is extremely poor. Has anyone in ST completed the task on page 19 of UM1766 concerning STM32CubeF3. This document is specifically designed for this CubeF3 and it does not work. Someone needs to redo this one page 19, with SCREEN SHOTS to show how it's done exactly. They should show how to get an example and load it into the SW4STM32. The UM1766 Page 19 states to IMPORT the design into the workspace. You can't import to the folder within STM32CubeF3, the tool complains, YOU CAN'T IMPORT TO AN EXISTING PROJECT. I can't import to the workspace, only half the design moves over and the BUILD won't work.I think this would help the whole ST community and surely cut down on so many QUESTIONS.We a

I am new to STM32 world and all of its tools. I have purchased a STM32F303RE board and downloaded the STM32CubeMX and STM32CubeIDE. I also downloaded SW4STM32 as many ST User manuals contains many examples for this IDE tool. After two weeks of playing with SW4STM32 IDE, I realized it's time to move to STM32CubeIDE. While visiting the ST site containing IDE information, I note there is a nice CubeIDE "How To" video showing how to set up the project, set up workspace, set up debug, set up SWV, and many other perspectives. There is only one video in the STM32CubeIDE resource area and it is good. I would like to find this video presentation and flow in PDF form.Can anyone point to this PDF if it exist, I want to print for my reference. Also note, the video is very small so seeing and reading the quickly paced video you have to squint your eyes and constantly press the PULSE to see what is going on. This would be a big help to the ST Community. Thanks all for your help.

Hey there,Essentially, a co-worker created a project on his machine and I'm trying to run it on mine. I'm getting a ton of errors due to different file paths. Is there a convenient way to import his project to run on my machine or do I need to manually go through and change a ton of paths? My apologies if this has been asked before, I loved through this forum and through some true studio stuff but came up empty handed. Thanks

When I installed at first CubeIDE, I could select FreeRTOS as middleware. But failed due to can't use systick as reference clock of FreeRTOS.After that, I can't choose a Middleware such as FreeRTOS, when I create New Project.What am I wrong?

I have a Nucleo-H743zi board and am debugging an application using STM32CubeIDE. There is some legacy code that does some debug printf's I don't see anything on the debug console or the regular console. How does one configure standard output to redirect so that it shows up over the IDE's USB link? Or do you have to use spearate user USB I/O ?

I want to start writing my own code for the STM32H750 discovery board. I have installed STM32Cube IDE, MX and PROG. I have downloaded the examples for the board and I'm trying to build and run the GPIO example because its the simplest. I've chosen the BootROM_ExternalSDRAM_InternalSRAM build target and I appear to have built it successfully, although the FLASH memory segment appears to be located at 0xd0000000 which I think is external SDRAM. Is this because I am building a 'debug' configuration? Hi, It's my first time using STM micros and the Cube IDE.Whenever I generate code from the device configuration tool, the include paths I have added in properties > C/C++ Build > Settings > MCU GCC Compiler > Include pathsdisappear. This only happens after I close the IDE and then re-open. If I don't close the IDE the include paths remain even after generating code multiple times. The generated include paths are still there (../Inc, ../Drivers, ...etc) but the ones I have added are not.Is this intended behavior and if so how do stop it from doing that.Thanks

Dear,I made a project for STM32F030RC with STM32CubeIDE. when I use "HAL_FLASHEx_Erase" function to erase some flash pages (at end of flash that there is no code on it) , the CPU crash. I guessed it is depended on interrupts. so I disabled interrupts with  __disable_irq before erase and enable with __enable_irq after erase. Then the erase done but after I enable interrupts, the CPU crash.I tested the __disable_irq and __enable_irq in other place of code in main loop. I saw that some times CPU crash after enable interrupts.Do you have any idea?Best regardsHamid

I have a bootloader + main application that I would like to debug. Unfortunately it looks like I can only specify 1 file to load the symbols from? In TrueStudio it was easy with the debug script file to specify more than one, but the simplified UI removed this ability.

Question 1: I just installed STM32CubeIDE on my home computer and my work computer. When I start a new project for the STM32L4R9I-Disco discover kit on my home computer the CubeMX tool opens fine with no initial errors or warnings on pins. When I start a new project on my work computer, there are all kinds of errors on pins. I've attached a screen shot. I've tried answering the "set pins to default" question yes and no with the same results. Any idea why I get these errors at all, and also why do I get them on one computer and not the other?Question 2: Any idea where I can find a native STM32CubeIDE project that when I load it will have the CubeMX tool properly configured for the app? It would be great to find a native STM32CubeIDE project for the uSD card if any one knows of one.Thanks - Gene

I can add the Library over the Properties of Project. Under the c/C++ General topic, Paths and Symbols. With the Tab Libraries.There i can Add it with the Button Files System. I have been working with Stm32f0 series with keil IDE. But I would like to work with STM32F4 kits and improve my expertise, Keil MDK lite allows me to work with stm32f0 series only. Could some one recommend me any free open source IDE's which can help me develop and debug, load code on to discovery kits and they also should have the capability of Instruction trace macrocell, Watch points, breakpoints, etc. I am looking for an IDE that i can use along with STM32CubeMX. Can stm32cube IDE accomodate my requirements?

Hello; i changed my executable file name with "Build Artifact" option. When i rebuild my project everything is fine. The executable files are generated as i wanted. But i want to change .map file name like the executable files automatically with same name. How can i do it or is it possible? I have found something at linker setting tools given at the screen shot but i can not change the label values.Thanks.

I am trying to switch from eclipse to CubeIDE. But it wont let me save the debug configurations. I have imported the project, build it, when trying to debug it doesnt let me press(Debug As AC6 Application) When trying to add my own debug configuration i can enter whatever i want, but it doesnt save it. Dear Friends, I'm having problems to load this plugin (Eclipse CDT Plugin: OpenMRC), it's from GitHub, I tried using the "Install New Software" but without good results, I also download it to my desktop but the IDE wants JAR files, so please someone knows how to correctly load it in order to use that plugin? When starting a new project in STM Cube IDE there is an option given to generate C++ instead of C code but when selected I still get the same generated c code... If I wan't to use modern C++ conventions what are my options or should I be looking at another IDE?

I downloaded the X-NUCLEO-IHM01A1 from the st website and loaded an example project in stm32cubeIDE, however I keep on getting the library inclusion error.

I am trying to import a project from mbed into STM32CubeIDE.1. I initially exported the project from mbed and selected Sw4STM32 as the toolchain.2. I then imported the project in STM32CubeIDE.3.
