STM32 MCUs Software development tools

Hi,I have realized a project for Stm32G0B1 device. In my project I put a marker at address 0x807fff0. If I program the chip using keil I don't have any issue but if I use Stm32Cube Programmer the marker memory is not programmed. Is there anything to do to say Cube Programmer to program two different memory area?Thanks Emanuele Dassiè

Hi, This may be more of a general Git usage question, but I am currently learning how to use Git so I can begin to implement version control with my projects. There doesn't seem to be many examples online of embedded use, it's mostly web stuff. I use CubeIDE exclusively but am learning Git from the command terminal as I also want to learn another skill (using GUIs seems to be cheating a bit). My question is: where would one want to initialise the Git repository when wanting to implement version control in a CubeIDE project? So far I have initialised Git within the project folder itself as seen here: 

Hello, Two questions.First one: __attribute__((__packed__)) does not work: for a structuretypedef __attribute__((__packed__)) struct a_s {   uint32_t M; uint16_t V; uint8_t Data[1];   } Type_A;sizeof(Type_A) returns 8, not 7.Second one: after STM32CubeIDE update to 1.10.1 when "Build a selected file" (*.c), the file seems to be processed, but NO build results more seen in the CDT Build Console.Any ideas?

The 1.8 release notes claim that the wayland support bug was fixed, yet the mcu finder still doesn't work. Please reopen bug 77518 or fix the issue.

I can control the card with stm32 CubeProgrammer when I reset mode "hardware reset". But when I use cubeIDE, I can't assign the program, it can't see the target, what could be the reason? Can I only use it in Hex mode?

Hello Community,I'm a newly user and have a custom PCB.Now with having set up the Cube IDE I'm struggling that I can't compile just the code like it came out of the CubeMX's code generator.Can you give me a hint to start?I already set the compilers optimization for size and varied the min heap and min stack variables, but no improvement.If the code really is too big, is there any option how to reduce it's size in CubeMX?Best regards,Hannes

Hi, I have worked with FreeRTOS in a project with other board brand and to implement the FreeRTOS functions we followed these guides https://www.freertos.org/Documentation/RTOS_book.html which are great, now with ST I realize you can include a layer (CMSIS) on top of the FreeRTOS layer, does exists a detailed guide of these CMSIS functions and when to use it?, what are the advantages and disadvantages of use this layer?

Dear Mrs, Mr,I'm working with a Riverdi discovery board with a STM32. I'm developing a serial protocol for which I'm using interrupt for reception.I enabled the IT in CubeMxUsing HAL_UART_Receive_IT(), it is working fine for the first time and also if all characters received are readIf I relaunch HAL_UART_Receive_IT() and characters were sent to the uart RX buffer without being read, it fails to work The only way I made it working was to add a HAL_UART_Init function before it and it is working fine.But I guess this is not the best way to clean buffer, state and pending interrupts. Hello, I have made a custom external flash loader(.stldr) file for my STM32 based board and this file works great with ST Link Utility(Read, Write and Erase) are work fine and i can Program the board correctly. But when i try to use the created .stldr file by STM32CubeIDE the erasing process well done but when the downloading process gets start then "failed to download Segment[0]" error pups up. Is there someway to do this with stm32cubeide?For my specific use case I am storing configuration data on last page of flash (currently working on figuring out how to erase it so i can rewrite it in software), but I would also like to be able to configure it by reprogramming it. I can check that the page is empty and write settings to it, but I haven't found any way to erase it with stm32cubeide, I need to open the st link utility in order to erase the flash as far as I can tell.

Hello,I’ve just started using FreeRTOS with an ARM Cortex m7 core. I’m using a sensor that provides an interrupt at every 62.5uS. based on that interrupt I have to read the 27-byte sensor data over SPI for that I have created one task(Read sensor data task) as below.My issue is, that my task is not synchronized with the interrupt. That means whenever the first interrupt occurs the task runs to read sensor data using SPI and parsed the data, before completion of reading and parsing data the other interrupts occur.As per the sensor datasheet: DOUT is latched out at the SCLK rising edge. DRDY is pulled high at the SCLK falling edge. Note that DRDY goes high on the first SCLK falling edge, regardless of whether data are being retrieved from the device or command is being sent through the DIN pin.DRDY is the interrupt that active low. here I have attached the datasheet snap.

Use: Cube IDE rev. 1.7.0 on Debian Linux;Normal: mouse over variable opens a window showing the content of a variable or a defined value.Error: a window with zero width opens (a vertical bar) so the content of the window is not readable. It is not possible to enlarge this window again.Maybe I accidentally shifted the width of the window to 0, but I cannot increase its size though size-change-arrows appear.Any hints how to proceed? Is there a setup-file containing correlated values and maybe, where are these located or named? Thanks in advance, Peter
